Hello there

I’m Lotte. This is me, on a very good day:

Lotte Sep 16

And – for the sake of balance – this is me when I’m not looking quite so fine:

I really dig honesty.

Not aggressive, critical, externally-focussed kind of honesty (“your hair looks fucking awful in that picture mate”)

But the raw, vulnerable honesty that comes when we dare to be ourselves.

The world we live in is fake.

It might not be the Matrix, but we are surrounded by lies.

Glossed up images everywhere.  Myths held up as truths.

Constant and unwavering pressure to look, act and be just like everyone else.

We know we’re DIFFERENT.

So we play lets cultural pretend: using filters, putting on fronts, hiding our ‘faults’ from everyone.

Because revealing the truth of who we are (even to ourselves) feels unimaginable.

Uncalled for.

Unnecessary.

Unsafe.

It’s time to stop hating on ourselves.

To stop wasting these precious minutes of our lives angsting over our worth.

I’ve hosted enough battles in my brain to fill ten encyclopaedias.

I’ve got PhDs in self-doubt, self-loathing and hitting myself with large sticks.

And frankly, I’m OVER it. So I’m trying something new.

And I’m hoping it’s something you’ll want to get behind too.

We need a revolution.

A realness revolution.

An internal uprising against the bullshit in our brains.

Because the reality is – despite what the nasty voices in our head say

WE ARE ENOUGH.

Exactly as we are, right now.

All we have to do is believe it.

Change is possible.

Of course, that’s easier said than done.

We don’t come with an inbuilt “YAY I’M AWESOME” confidence switch.

We can’t flip straight from self-loathing to self-loving.

But I’ve found, from my own existential adventures, that change is possible.

And the key to making it happen

Is being UNASHAMEDLY HONEST.

What next?

I share more on this subject in my book, on my blog, and on Instagram and Facebook.

But I save the REALLY powerful (and personal) stuff for email.

Every week, I lay myself bare in a secret message – sharing my truth, because it guides you to yours.

If you want more realness in your life, sign up.
